The EU Strategy and the Danube basin
The European Union has launched a process to prepare an EU Strategy for the Danube region.
Countries and regions concerned
The new macro-regional strategy (following the EU-Baltic Sea Strategy) will concern the following countries and regions: Germany (Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria), Austria, the Slovak Republic, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Romania, Bulgaria, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine (limited to the western Olbasti close to the Danube).
